Hello, I’m David. My career began many years ago in Australia, where I had the privilege of owning two salons that taught me more than I could have imagined about people, service, and the craft of hair. In 2000, life brought me to Calgary, and in 2007, Karma came to life — built on the simple belief that both guests and stylists deserve a place where they can truly thrive.

For our guests, that means honesty, skill, and an experience that feels consistently cared for.
For our team, it means genuine support, room to grow, and the chance to build a career that lasts.

Hi, I’m Mel. I started in this industry back in 2003 as a salon receptionist, began hairstyling in 2005, and every step since then has taught me how much a strong, supportive team can accomplish together. My focus now is building the systems, relationships, and educational opportunities that help our stylists grow in the ways that matter most to them.

What I love about Karma is that it’s never about one person — it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, inspired, and part of something bigger. Success for us isn’t just the numbers; it’s the impact we make on our clients, our team, and our community.
